Dr. David Lynn, professor of biomolecular chemistry at Emory University, is at the forefront of innovative research on supramolecular self-assembly, studying how the thermal energy of molecules can spontaneously make things. These emerging self-assembled structures hint at the origins of life and the basis of evolution, leading to discoveries which could play a role in new drug design, genetic engineering and nanotechnology, and provide a better understanding of the origins of living systems, and the causes of Alzheimer’s Disease.
